With hands-on experience breaking new ground for companies such as Project44, NaviPlan, Meta, Surgical Care Affiliates (UnitedHealth Group), Northwestern Medicine, U.S. Cellular, Whirlpool, Britannica, Jackson Hewitt and Bank of America… diving deep into challenges with multi-discipline teams to surface solutions is a huge part of my DNA.

Recent Projects: Positive Outcomes

Spearhead a UX-centric data provider “go to market” partnership with MercerInsight setting the stage for Backstop Solutions being awarded the Fund Tech 2020 Best Industry Collaboration by Funds Europe. Facilitated remote/local team sessions for experience strategy, planning and research to integrate Mercer insights and analytics on more than 6,700 managers and 35,000 strategies into Backstop Solutions.

Working with New York’s Barbarian Group matured strategic models that won new business with Caliber, a leading MSO in January 2021. Empowering remote teams with automotive knowledge on rapidly changing industry trends due to “smart car” repair costs and technology the user flows, scenarios and concepts quickly came to light to the clients delight.

Team Focus: Research & Accessibility

Evangelized the benefit of research informed, accessibility-first approaches for healthcare and financial companies that are both compliant and increases engagement for all users. An accessibility/UX pilot program working with product managers increased transparency between scrum teams of ongoing efforts. Leveraging Jira, Confluence, Slack and town hall meetings showcased approaches and context on active projects.

Pursuing ongoing training with Deque University on WCAG and accessibility as standards and best practices evolve. Aligning learnings from MeasuringU: Virtual Boot Camp – Intensive Training on UX Methods, Metrics and Measurement to “quantify the qualitative” and massage fixed mindsets/bias related to accessibility and research practices. 

Forward Thinking: Business Transformation

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Agile Leadership for Teams (CAL 1) to provide servant leaderships and embrace cognitive diversity, business disruption and transformation with coworkers, clients and vendors. Connecting dots in the weeds between employee engagement, project experience and business outcomes with UX/CX and service design outputs.
